One of the biggest takeaways from this internship at Apex has been realizing that the work doesn’t slow down just because the team does. This past week, several analysts were out of the office—but the accounts still needed managing and reports still needed to go out.

With some teammates out, there was an opportunity to take on more ownership of sales summary reporting. Using Scintilla to pull recent and historical data offered a deeper understanding of sales performance metrics. Organizing that information into a clear, digestible format—and highlighting key takeaways—reinforced the importance of adaptability. The work doesn’t stop just because someone’s out and being ready to fill in makes a real difference.
Despite the lighter team presence, important deliverables for Walmart and Sam’s Club still needed attention. Contributing to sales performance decks and pulling Retail Link data helped reinforce a few key lessons:
