This order was critical for both sales and inventory management; however, the client typically ships via a third-party logistics (3PL) consolidator. Under normal circumstances, Type 03 manual orders are processed outside the vendor pool, with separate billing for fulfillment costs. Given the order's volume, the additional shipping expenses could have been considerable.

To ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, proactive steps were taken by coordinating closely with the 3PL managing the purchase orders. Apex ensured that the order was assigned to trucks with available capacity, which allowed for consolidated shipments and reduced excess shipping charges. Additionally, the MABDs were monitored and updated to avoid unnecessary costs, including overtime (OTIF) charges, while maintaining a focus on rapid shipment processing.
